How high are the hills that its on, As it feels very warm where I am today.

I think we might see an unusual season, Autmn, Of cold and frosty and possibly snowy nights followed by very warm days.

You know, Like in the deserts.

By that I do mean the vast expanses of sand in hot reigions and not chocolate pudding.

Well guys, I only saw it briefly as I was driving up the Glen. It was about 15 miles away, so I can't be sure it's not hail. :? :? By "light" I mean it makes the peaks look grey!

It's not that unusual really - in 1993, we had it in July. :shock: I think the upper air must be quite cold. The munroes are peaks over 3000 feet high!

Sounds promising for the next few days tho....

I think from Tuesday onwards we've had it.... no more snow until the next cooler period of weather which could be.. well, a while now.

The freezing level is currently 1500m in Scotland, so the summits of the Gorms and Nevis are surely seeing some snow in showers, they must be.

1200 or so metres. Snowdon is 1085 metres. Ben Nevis anyone know? around 1200 mentres

thanx. so just like Croatia you don't have really high mountains. The peak of Croatia is 1870m. But Bosnia or Slovenia have around 2800. And it's snowing in Slovenia right now over 1200m!
