Category: Level 2 Warning

Weather type: Thunderstorms and Torrential Downpours.

Affecting: East Anglia, The Midlands, Central England and Wales

Time and Date Valid For: 17:00 to 23:59 Wednesday 29th June 2005.

Time of Issue: 16:55 Wednesday 29th June 2005

This flash alert is being issued as an area of thunderstorms is currently developing and affecting an area in a line from mid-Wales across to Essex/South Suffolk.

This area will continue to move north/northeastwards at about 20-25mph, possibly moving into northern England later before tending to die out.

Along with the thunderstorms, torrential downpours could develop with gusty winds and the potential for very localised flash flooding.
