whats a good way to record rainfall with just everyday things, we had a big storm last nite in chatham and i put a cup outside and after an hour about 2 inches fell but i dont know if this was right? but i have never seen it rain so hard in my life it was like a waterfull, any tips on how to make my own weather station in my garden? or would it be cheaper to go buy one lol

thanks

Early showers and dull, misty, breezy and cool all the way through. Temp apparantly maxxed at 16c but I didn't feel it  .
