A total contrast to yesterday, after a cold start it was a dry and extremely sunny day. Due to the clear skies the last few hours have seen the temperature take a nose-dive, already reaching a minimum of -1.1°C, the lowest this Autumn. The day was equally as cold, some 6°C below normal for the time of year, and the 14th day below average in a row. As a result of this long cold spell, it is almost certain now that November 2005 will be a below average month, the first since July 2004 here.
