UK Outlook for Friday 8 Jun 2007 to Sunday 17 Jun 2007:

Many areas should start dry with some sunshine, although a few places in southern and perhaps central Britain might catch a thundery shower. Daytime temperatures should reach the warm category across many areas but some eastern coastal counties may be cloudier and cooler with patchy mist. During the rest of the weekend, rain or showers seem increasingly likely to break out across the country, though still with some intervals of fine weather; again there is a risk of thundery outbreaks. Temperatures are likely to fall towards normal across most areas, with a cooler feel under cloud and rain. Looking ahead to the following week and weekend, a rather unsettled picture seems set to dominate, with occasional rain or showers but some drier and sunnier interludes. Temperatures mostly near normal .

UK Outlook for Sunday 10 Jun 2007 to Tuesday 19 Jun 2007:

Although many central and eastern areas should start dry with some sunshine, more unsettled showery conditions already in the far SW, with the odd thundery shower possible, are expected to gradually extend North and East to most southern parts of England and Wales early in the week. Some of the rain may become heavy and rather persistent in places. Some northern parts may hold on to mainly dry conditions until midweek, otherwise a generally unsettled type looks set to continue with spells of rain or showers interspersed with drier brighter spells. Probably still very warm in the SE at first but temperatures soon expected to fall back towards normal in most areas, with a cooler feel under cloud and rain.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 13 Jun 2007 to Friday 22 Jun 2007:

Rather unsettled with rain or showers interspersed with drier brighter interludes. Risk of some heavy and persistent rain at times, especially at first in the southeast of England, where it maybe thundery, and across central and southern parts of Scotland. The far north of Scotland will be cooler and may hold on to mainly dry conditions until later in the week, but the unsettled conditions across other areas will eventually push north to all parts. There is a possibility of the weather gradually becoming more settled from the southwest as we go through the second week. Probably still warm in the SE at first but temperatures are expected to fall back nearer to normal in most areas, with a cooler feel under cloud and rain.

UK Outlook for Saturday 16 Jun 2007 to Monday 25 Jun 2007:

Rather unsettled with rain or showers interspersed with drier brighter interludes. Risk of some heavy and persistent rain at times especially, but not exclusively, at first across southern Scotland and northern England. Feeling cool under persistent rain, particularly so near North Sea coasts north of The Wash. The north of Scotland will be fresher and may hold on to mainly dry conditions with some sunshine for much of the period. There is a possibility of the weather gradually becoming more settled from the southwest towards the end of next week. Probably still rather warm in the south at first but temperatures are expected to fall to nearer normal in most areas, with a cooler feel under cloud and rain, especially at first in the east.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 19 Jun 2007 to Thursday 28 Jun 2007:

An unsettled start across much of the UK with showers or longer periods of rain, heavy and thundery in places, although Central and Northern Scotland, including the Northern Isles, seem likely to miss most of the rain and have the best of the dry weather with some sunshine. Winds will become mostly west to northwesterly from the weekend, with the emphasis on showers transferring to northwestern parts of the UK, whilst southern and eastern areas have the best of the dry weather with sunny spells and just isolated showers. Temperatures mostly near normal, although warm in parts of the south early and late in the period, but conversely cool in any persistent rain and near some North Sea coasts at first.

UK Outlook for Friday 22 Jun 2007 to Sunday 1 Jul 2007:

Low pressure will bring an unsettled start with showers, heavy and thundery in places and also some longer spells of rain, consequently limited sunny intervals. The low is likely to move east of the UK by Saturday allowing some dry and sunny intervals to develop although there will still be some showers. On Sunday, or soon after the weekend, southern and eastern parts may become mainly dry with sunny spells, at least for a time. However northwesterly winds look set to bring further rain or showers to northern and western parts and this unsettled weather may spread to remaining areas later. Temperatures typically near normal but rather chilly in the more persistent rain but possibly a little above normal in parts of the south and east later.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 27 Jun 2007 to Friday 6 Jul 2007:

The unsettled northerly type with rather cloudy skies, rain or heavy showers and below normal temperatures looks set to move away eastwards during the first few days of the period. This should allow a drier interval with sunny spells for most parts, although some mainly light showers may still occur. Clearer skies may well allow for chilly nights but day time values should recover to near normal. Over the weekend unsettled weather with mostly westerly winds is expected to spread from the west with a generally unsettled theme continuing for the remainder of the period. Some western, more especially northwest parts, are likely to see persistent and heavier periods of rain. Drier and brighter in the east and southeast although some rain is likely. Temperatures near normal generally.

UK Outlook for Friday 29 Jun 2007 to Sunday 8 Jul 2007:

Starting bright with showers in places but also some sunny spells. Some southern and southeastern parts may have a mainly dry day or two. However unsettled weather looks set to become established from the west over the first weekend and then continues for much of this outlook period. Some of the rain will be persistent and perhaps quite heavy at times, this most likely in the north and the west but, even further east and south, some heavy rain in the form of showers is possible. There will also be some drier, brighter spells and some sunshine with, as typical of a westerly type, the best of the sunshine more likely in eastern parts. Temperatures recovering towards normal after a cool start.

UK Outlook for Monday 2 Jul 2007 to Wednesday 11 Jul 2007:

An unsettled theme seems likely to dominate next week, especially right at the start, when there will still be heavy showers in some areas, perhaps especially the east. Still a risk of thunderstorms and some areas of more persistent rain. Beyond Monday, perhaps a reduced risk of heavy rainfall but still with occasional rain or showers. However there will be some brighter spells and, as the week progresses, perhaps rather longer drier, sunnier spells, more likely in the south. Temperatures should be mostly closer to the normal, although occasionally cool under any more persistent rainfall. Little major change is forecast for next weekend and into the start of the following week, with rather unsettled conditions continuing, still occasional rainfall in many areas but some brighter and slightly warmer interludes.

UK Outlook for Thursday 5 Jul 2007 to Saturday 14 Jul 2007:

The unsettled weather looks set to continue with further rain or showers for all parts. A period of prolonged rain may cross the UK early in the period bringing some heavy rain and strong winds, most likely across the northern two thirds of the UK. Showery weather follows to all parts, again with the risk of some rather heavy showers. Further spells of rain are possible but heavy rain over southern parts looks more likely to result from slow moving heavy showers through the mid week period, although this detail is quite uncertain. Some short dry periods are likely between the showery bands. Winds will often be rather fresh, in places strong and temperatures though mostly near normal will be rather cool in the wind and prolonged rain.

UK Outlook for Sunday 8 Jul 2007 to Tuesday 17 Jul 2007:

Unfortunately there is precious little signal of any prolonged, dry or warm weather in the coming period. Sunday may be rather wet at first in eastern parts with some heavy rain and for next week there is little sign of any improvement in the weather. Low pressure will dominate with further rain or showers, some of which will be heavy at times. Temperatures are likely to be average at best, and at times it may feel rather cool, especially in the rain. Into the weekend and the following week, there is little sign of any change, with most places seeing further rain or showers, and temperatures are still likely to be around or a little below average for most parts.

UK Outlook for Monday 9 Jul 2007 to Wednesday 18 Jul 2007:

During the first half of this forecast period, the weather is expected to remain unsettled with rain or showers in all areas. Some of the rain or showers are likely to be heavy, and there is a risk of hail and thunder, especially for southeast England early in the period. There should however, be some sunny spells between the showers, but it will feel cool for the time of year in the occasionally rather blustery winds, these winds strong at times around southern and western coasts. During the second half of the period, the weather is expected to remain unsettled, though a trend to slightly drier and warmer weather possible, especially later in the period in the south and the east.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 10 Jul 2007 to Thursday 19 Jul 2007:

The cool and unsettled weather that we have become so used to in the past few weeks looks like continuing for the foreseeable future. Areas of low pressure are expected to move eastwards across the Atlantic and United Kingdom in the general westerly airflow. There will be some sunshine, but also showers. Some of the showers may be heavy with a risk of thunder, and at times may merge into longer spells of rain. Temperatures will remain generally below average, and it will feel cool in longer spells of rain. It will also be rather breezy at times, especially in the south and west where winds around coasts on some days may become quite strong. Any drier and brighter interludes are more likely in the south and east.

UK Outlook for Thursday 12 Jul 2007 to Saturday 21 Jul 2007:

Areas of low pressure will continue to affect the British Isles for much of the period bringing further rain or showers along with some drier and brighter interludes. The heaviest and most persistent rain seems likely over northern and western areas with the south and east being favoured for the drier and brighter interludes. With often large amounts of cloud temperatures will be near or a little below average, and it will feel cool in the longer spells of rain. However it may become rather warm and more humid at times over the south and east. It will also be rather breezy at times, especially over the north and west where winds will become quite strong at times over the hills and around coasts.

UK Outlook for Friday 13 Jul 2007 to Sunday 22 Jul 2007:

There looks to be little sign of an end to the generally unsettled pattern, with showers or longer spells of rain. The more prolonged rain is likely to fall in Scotland, but heavy showers could occur anywhere. High temperatures are expected in eastern districts until early next week, but heavy and thundery showers are also likely, which may persist well into the night. Thereafter, temperatures should return to near or a little below the seasonal average, with showers chiefly during the daytime. The best of the sunshine is likely in the south and occasionally clear nights could lead to relatively low temperatures. There may also be some windy spells. There is a hint of more settled weather in the south towards the end of the period.

UK Outlook for Saturday 14 Jul 2007 to Monday 23 Jul 2007:

Unsettled conditions will continue to affect the UK throughout most of the period, with the prevailing westerly winds bringing the risk of showers or some longer spells of rain to most places. The wettest conditions overall are likely to be in northern and western areas, though rain may turn heavy and thundery in some southern parts at the beginning of the period. The Southeast may have warm, humid conditions at first, before a return to near- or just-below-normal temperatures by early next week. Occasional clear periods overnight may allow some relatively low night-time temperatures, with isolated rural grass-frosts. There are some indications of a return to warmer, drier weather towards the end of the period, especially in the South.

The Southeast may have warm, humid conditions at first, before a return to nearer to normal temperatures across much of the country thereafter.

UK Outlook for Friday 20 Jul 2007 to Sunday 29 Jul 2007:

The largely unsettled weather is set to continue. This coming week-end will see showers again, particularly in the south, with the risk of a period of very heavy and thundery rain for a time in the southeast on Friday. Some northwestern parts are likely to be drier and brighter however. The unsettled theme is expected to persist through next week with showers or longer spells of rain for most, the heaviest of the rain probably in the west. There should be some drier and brighter periods however but detail is uncertain at this stage. Temperatures are expected to be near or rather below average generally and locally cool in wetter parts of the west with some strong winds possible at times.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 24 Jul 2007 to Thursday 2 Aug 2007:

The largely unsettled weather is set to continue at least for a while. Tuesday (24th) will see showers again, mainly in the east, and some of these will be heavy and perhaps thundery though western parts are likely to be mostly dry and bright. The unsettled theme is expected to then persist through the rest of next week and into next weekend, with showers or longer spells of rain, with the heaviest of the rain probably in the west. However, there are now signs of things becoming a little more settled and warm especially in the south, and this weather could spread to other parts of the UK during the following week. So there is at least a glimmer of hope that the beginning of August could be more summery.

UK Outlook for Thursday 26 Jul 2007 to Saturday 4 Aug 2007:

Thursday, Friday and through the weekend will see low pressure dominating the weather with a run of quite brisk West or southwesterly winds bringing showers or longer spells of rain with drier, brighter periods as well. Temperatures never too far away from the seasonal average. The unsettled theme is then expected to persist through next week and into the following weekend, with showers or longer spells of rain, with the heaviest of the rain probably in the north and west. The best of drier and brighter weather will be in the south and east. Even with the chance of the south seeing a few dry and bright days. Overall, temperatures not expected to stray too far from the normal.

UK Outlook for Saturday 28 Jul 2007 to Monday 6 Aug 2007:

Very unsettled weather for the weekend with rain or showers, particularly for England and Wales with the best of the dry and sunny weather across Western Scotland. Some of the rain will be heavy at times with temperatures generally below normal to rather cool in the rain areas. Into next week it still looks rather unsettled with the more general rain affecting Northwest Scotland but everywhere will see some rain at times. It will be quite windy too, especially in the north and west with the best of nay drier and brighter weather confined to the south and east of England. Temperatures will be mostly near normal to rather cool although there is a chance that the south could see warmer values later in the period.
