Really miserable here now with moderate rain and it is very dark,temperature 2.7c,humidity 98%,hardly any wind,barometer 1025 mb and steady.

A few snow grains first thing this morning, then grey with the odd outbreak of drizzle. About 2pm the cloud started to break up - now clear and the temperature is dropping quickly. 2.8C when I got in just before 3pm, now 1.6C, 1020mB.

An overcast, misty and dull day with light drizzle throughout. There was very little in the way of wind, but nevertheless it felt rather bitter at times. Temperatures were below average for the time of year overall, mainly due to a low maxima, which amazingly was the lowest January value since 28th January 2004.
