This one has 1981 on the back :-

    1981.jpg

And this one i think is 1982,looking at it compared to 1981 there are different plants in the garden and no bird table so i'm sure it's a different year :-

I was lucky enough to have enjoyed the early 80's,sadly i wasn't even thought of in '63!!

Brilliant photos, thanks for sharing :(

I wonder if we will ever see anything like that again (I wasn't around even in '81  )

I certainly hope so. One thing i have said b4 on this forum is i have noticed more snow in the 00's than we had in the 90's here anyway. I think a slow turn back to colder times may be upon us. The pictures of the 80's brought back great memories for me-it also made me feel sad when i hear people talking about tons of snow now!! They aint seen anything!! '63 makes the 80's seem lame!

Great photos, I think we will see events like that again but when is another matter.

Certainly not this winter, lets start hoping next winter deliver the goods.

Nice blast from the past. Love the old Ford Thames van (looks like a 1950's vintage 300E?)

I would love to see snow like that again - although not sure I would wish for it every winter - maybe every 3 years :)

I notice the driver didn't have any problems. Loved to have seen what happened if they met someone else coming the other direction.

They prob. would have sorted it out! If that meant digging a passing place i'm sure they would have done it!
