After a wild and very wet night the morning dawned calm and clear. Sunny spells through until early afternoon then showers for a few hours. Bright but hazy since with a blustery W wind. Max 8c.

Plenty of brightness and sunshine today, feeling mild though breezy. Highest max so far this year. This followed some 5 hours of light to moderate rain before dawn making it the wettest 24 hours since December 2nd.

Had a very wet night last night - the first adequate rain since the end of December. Had 18mm last night plus 6mm more rain during a long heavy shower this afternoon. It was nice and sunny this morning though. It is now cold and cloudy adn the wind has gone down. Feeling very damp. Temp. 6.2C.

Just had quite a heavy hail shower here, the day has been packed with showers which were mostly of hail :)

(Glasgow had a very heavy hail shower earlier with thunder and lightning :) )

Just to let you see how heavy it was, here's a rather rubbish picture of the hail. (my hand wasn't very steady :) )

Report for Wednesday 15th February 2006, Readings taken at 22:50.

After a mild, wet and windy night, it began mostly cloudy with occasional sunny spells. As the day went on these became more prolonged, ending the day with some pleasant sunshine. Temperatures were once again above average for the time of year, the third day in a row with a double-digit maxima. Last night's rain also made it the wettest 24 hours since November 28th 2005.
