Almost cloudless today apart, that is, from lines of large cumulus and some cumulonimbus on the west and south west horizon and a few smaller cumulus towards the east, over Nottinghamshire or Lincolnshire.

At 1730 I could see one, isolated, large cumulonimbus on the southern horizon, when I looked on the radar it turned out to be between Oxford and Cheltenham, about 85 miles away.

Temp' at 1730........-0.2c

Max' today..............1.7c

Min' last night.........-3.7c

Grass min'.............-6.0c

Rainfall today..........nil

Sunshine today........9.26 hrs

Mean wind speed at 1730.....13 mph NW, gusting to 15

Highest gust today...............38 mph at 0937

1 okta cumulus and cumulonimbus

Vis' at 1730................50 miles

Bar' at 1730...............1001.9mb, falling slowly.

A few snowdrifts and patches of thin snow in the shade remaining.
