cloudy with rain and no sign of any ice, graupel, but it must be very very near to it, another 2-300ft would make the difference I reckon around here. Temp is+0.7C and dewpoint is -1.0. Min air te,p -0.1C

cor to the above.

Once I got dowstairs and went in the back garden. In just one place, the decking, there was still quite a lot of small graupel on it, no where else, and the ground is soft, so obviously very marginal with even the grass min showing just -0.1C

I'll try and do an explanation asap with a diagram to show what happens
