A mostly dull/cloudy day, some hazy sun this morning and varied wintry flurries this afternoon. A bitter and fresh ENE wind, max of 6c (surprising).

Temp now 3c and dull/misty.

What an odd boring day weather wise. Grey, overcast, non descript, chill in the air and a little bit of a breeze. Keeps getting dark and threatening but nothing happens. Currently 4.2 degrees. Even thought it was going to snow at one point....But that was wishful thinking on my part

Overcast and misty all day with continuous light snow this morning and intermittant light snow, grain snow and ice pellets this afternoon,

2cm of lying snow at midday which thawed slowly during the afternoon, leaving 1cm above 315m by evening.

Report for Thursday 16th March 2006, Readings taken at 23:35.

An overcast and dull day with heavy sleet/snow showers during the morning, turning gradually less wintry by the afternoon. The evening saw further light showers, though by then these were mostly of rain. Temperatures were exceptionally low for mid-March, with the maxima of 4.6°C making it the latest day of the year to fail to reach 5°C since I began recording.
