The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...

southeastern Bond County in south central Illinois

southwestern Fayette County in south central Illinois

* until 430 PM CDT

* at 348 PM CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a

severe thunderstorm with strong rotation over Tamalco... moving

northeast at 20 mph.

* Locations impacted include...

Mulberry Grove...

Shobonier...

Vandalia...

The safest place to be during a tornado is in a basement. Get under a

workbench or other piece of sturdy furniture. If no basement is

available... seek shelter on the lowest floor of the building in an

interior hallway or room such as a closet. Use blankets or pillows to

cover your body and always stay away from windows.

If in Mobile homes or vehicles... evacuate them and get inside a

substantial shelter. If no shelter is available... lie flat in the

nearest ditch or other low spot and cover your head with your hands.

THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

SOUTHERN KANSAS

NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA

EFFECTIVE THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 355 PM UNTIL 900

PM CDT.

HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70

MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 60

STATUTE MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 30 MILES NORTH

NORTHWEST OF ENID OKLAHOMA TO 40 MILES EAST NORTHEAST OF MUSKOGEE

i think the thing wit most on here ATM is that we can understand that they have traveld so far to do what we would all love to do.

but more than anything we just want to know they all got there safe after all there part of the netweather family

Hi guy's we are all fine and landed safely and on time.Some nice upper air temps of -60°C as we flew into DFW at 40,000ft.Saw some nice convection as we drove up to norman and this is where we are stopping the night.It is currently 21:25 here and been up 24 hours and we are shatterd,Looking forward to a good nights sleep ready and refreshed for tomorrow.

As Ozzie has said, we have been up for 24 hours now and knackered, will start a new thread on our 1st Day proper for Monday 1st May. Wolves i have deleted the original post as we will start next day discussions about this time in readiness for when you guys get up 6 hours ahead of us, cheers Mate thanks for wondering if we are okay, the only threat today was the 84f Temps, which we were not adjusted too :lol: :lol:

looking at the radar looks like they could have a good first day there looks like there something brewing near barton rouge

Just be thankful that the hmidty was dropping by the time you arrive din Texas Paul, because about 15hrs before you touched down it was upto 70%

Anyway good to hear your safe, onto day 2!!!
