Whatever happened elsewhere in the country today, we had none of it.

There was no thunder early this morning, no heavy rain at any time, no gusts to 60 mph and certainly no snow or sleet.

What we did have was a few light showers this morning between 0630 and 0730 followed by a cloudy and dry morning with stratus low enough to give fog at 360m for a short time. The afternoon began with a short period of light rain which cleared by 1430 to give a dry early evening with cloud dispersing.

Maximum temp' was 8.2c after an overnight min' of 2.6c.

Just had a huge hailstorm with very strong winds and thunder. Heading towards Bristol I think. Roads are white and puddles everywhere. Still raining. Temperature has dropped to 3.4C from 8.7C!

After a mixture of sunshine and showers in the morning it rapidly turned overcast. Heavy rain then moved in during the afternoon, lasting well into the early evening. The remainder of the evening was then dry with clearing skies allowing the temperature to fall. Overall it was a mild day, though cooler than recent ones.
