some heavy rain and strong winds moved across about 30 mins ago, the movement of it suggested it was tornadic, the wind suddenly picked up, and everything including the rain was carried horizontally, and people could not move, it was quite funny seeing everyone just stop in sync

It did seem like a tornado went through though.

The after results included branches all over the place and other bits and bobs.

Can confirm same type of event here. Moved through really quick.

Max gust of 65mph here so far, Northwest Wales is taking a battering again 80+mph gusts recorded

A very wet, dark and miserable afternoon. The pressure has just stopped falling and is looking upwards again. Had a gust of 32mph about half an hour go, but wind has eased a little, now 10mph.

Pressure reached 1006mb but now 1007mb. Temperature falling, now 9.7C; dew point falling like a stone from 10C to 5.5C in half an hour.

The speeds on that french site are in km/h  . Saying that max gusts in northwest Wales are not too far off 91mph

Went down to the River Mersey before, and the wave heights were about 2-3 metres, could well be twice that on the north western coast of wirral, I'd hate to be on top of Grange Hill in that wind!

Latest update, windspeed appears to have been dropping over the past half an hour or so, there has also been a distinct lack of showers during this period also.

Current steady windspeed 31mph with the latest recorded gust being 44mph.

Lashing it down with rain here. Very mild and the wind is just starting to get very gusty. As I type I hear something being blown across the back garden, probably a plantpot of some sort.
