Well today has the feel of spring to it the sun is out the temp in the shade is 12*C and i have just seen a fly. There is a breeze which is taking the edge off the temp but all in all better day than yesterday.

If this weather keeps on like this we will either see a big boost to the bird population or a big drop. I saw a magpie getting nesting material yesterday so if other birds are nesting and hatch chicks in mid Feb then if the weather does get cold the chick stand a good chance of dying which would be a shame. :o

This country gets more messed up each year.

Today's been blustery and mostly cloudy with a few sunny spells. Max 9c so cooler than yesterday thanks to the cold front but still several degrees above average!

Went up to Rotherham today for a funeral. It was supposedly dry and mild here but boy was it freezing up there. Max of 9.7C here and the car thermometre said 6C for Rotherham. 2mm of rain.
