Just had a period of wet snow here which didn't settle apart from putting a layer of slush on the car windscreen. The band of heavy showers which has persisted all day just to the north of here seems to be weakening considerably as it edges south.

Temp' is currently 0.8c after a max' today of 5.3c.

Many seem to be reporting temps above freezing , been below freezing for well over an hour here now and can see considerable ice formation on vehicles outside in the dark. Still a clear and starry sky aloft.

After a wet night it was a day of sunshine and light showers. The evening then became much clearer, allowing the temperature to plummet. Overall it was around average for the time of year, but felt rather cold in the wind.
