Been a wet day today with strong winds all day. Very heavy rain a minute ago and more to come I think. HIgh of 11.5C but down to 9.3C and very windy.

What a crazy day, especially the temperature which I can only think was caused by a local Fohn effect due to the S/SE'ly wind coming off of Salisbury Plain.

Rain started just before 08.00 and has persisted ever since, sometimes heavy and latterly including torrential bursts. The wind wasn't a big feature but gusted strongly at times. Max was 14c!

15mm in the gauge and more to come as it's still raining, 11c.
