Thunderstorms have now moved away into the irish sea affecting ireland but still also affecting western wales, some lightning strikes on the radar there.

Its now cloudy and the winds are alot lighter after those storms passed.

Heavy rain overnight which cleared around 0800 b.s.t. I recorded 35.2mm from 1800 g.m.t yesterday which gives a 24 hour total for yesterday of 42.7m, the wettest June day here since June 2nd 1998. Looking at the NW Extra radar some places to the west and south west of me must have had considerably more.

Currently it's overcast with fog, vis' is 200 yds. The wind is 14 mph N.

Temp' is 10.6c after a min' of 9.7c.

Currently dry, mild and muggy, this morning a thunderstorm (lightning) uprooted a tree in the neighbours back garden. Fantastic (and scary) sight.

We've had exactly 3" of rain in total over yesterday up

to midday today.

Gardens are awash and the drains backing up worryingly, eek.

Thankfully the rainfall has eased right off in the last hour.

Max of 17c today which is the lowest max of June so far.

A clear, sunny start then sunny spells through until midday as CBs developed rapidly. A downpour with nearby thunderstorm between 12.30-13.00 and since then it's been cloudier with some sunshine and light showers.

Temp now 16c and breezier than most of the week.

Had a decent thunderstorm from 4-5pm today, still hear thunder now and rain definitely in for the night, before then fairly warm and sunny with a high of 19.1oC now very cool only 12.3C
