Sudden cloudburst here just now with hail, turned the road in to a river and my strike alert just went off at 6 to 12.

Edit:\ Strike alert just popped again and this time I heard the thunder.

Indeed, turning thundery now and just saw a flash followed by an instant bang.

I'm off to check it out!

Edit:| That cell is rumbling away to my north now, bit of a treat there!

I can see more big CBs' to my south now so looks like I might see some more action this afternoon, heres hoping.

Thundering here too, getting worse. Not been like this for ages, lightning really bright.

Its about time the North West got some thunderstorms, I was born there and of course realize that they are as rare as rocking horse doodoos up there

A very heavy downpour passing through here. Could here a few very low rumbles as it approached and have just heard a bang of thunder to the north. Was raining vertically - now horizontally!

A loud clap of thunder to the east of Cleadon at 15:30.

Nice little storm here at the moment. Few flashes and rumbles and the satellite tv has stopped working. Marvellous. At least it's change from the landline going dead.

Well I couldnt stay earlier as duty called though a second cloudburst followed my previous storm giving more heavy rain and thunder about 30 minutes later, I captured a couple of pictures on my cell phone that I will share later.
