Another beautiful clear blue sky with the sun beaming down. Fantastic display of contrails this morning over Eastbourne (a main skyway into Gatwick/Heathrow) with about 30 or so looking like a scene from the Battle of Britian - must be cold and damp up there. Its probably all the tourists escaping the British weather!

Lovely summer's morning. Slightly hazy sun, pleasant temps (the local weather station is saying 18C but it feels more like 20C+) and a light southerly breeze.

The window cleaner just came round to do our windows and as I was paying him he suggested that the BBC should sack all its forecasters and employ flying ants instead - because they always know when we are going to have a dry, warm spell and never get it wrong! He's got a point.
