    Short thunderstorm centred about 4 miles east of here between 0715 and 0725. Several CG strikes and accompanying rolls of thunder. We had a short spell of heavy snow and soft hail as the band of showers moved through.

    Couple of lightening strikes and loud thunder about 15.30 this afternoon just to the south whilst walking the dog overlooking the Ouse Valley and North Bedfordshire.

    Just seen a flash off to the East and a rumble of thunder, now it is chucking it down!

    A huge flash of lightning to the North East of me but no thunder. Squally rain has started after a period of relative calm.

    I thought that was more North East Callie? Shall I shout out of the window at you as you're about 300 yards away? :lol:

    Torrential downpour, complete with half melted, rice sized hail, for about 10 mins, last night.

    This was followed by a brilliant flash of blue lightning, and a single bang of thunder.

    That was the first thunder of 2008
