    thick freezing fog with no wind and sky obscured. Been foggy since just after 2400, temp -2.2C, its lowest at the moment.

    Beautiful sunrise with temps dropping to 0.8oC last night

    has left a slight frost. Newcastle 10 mile inland from here

    is under a thick blanket of fog.

    Just seen the time on the webcam still. looks like

    we are an hour ahead of the rest of the country..!! LOL

    sun trying to break through here but still down around 5-600 metres and quite surprisingly its still below zero C, -0.8C, must be about the coldest for this time in the morning this winter for here.

    yep, quick trawl through the Davis data, easily the lowest at this time of the morning.

    Hard to imagine a more perfect day here (which follows another perfect day yesterday of unbroken sunshine, light winds and a max of 13.4c) with wall to wall sunshine and a noon temp of 13.1c.

    The tortoise is outside sunning himself again, the birds are singing and I've just seen the 3rd bee of the year - however it could be the same one I saw over the weekend just winding me up... :lol:
