Usual boring sunshine and showers all day, then about 18:50, a lightning bolt hit the school opposite our house. Heck of a bang, all the power went off, alarms sounding etc. Really upset the local birds as well, all the seagulls and pigeons were flying round in circles and screaming. No other rumbles or lightning before or since.

Its usually the way, all's quiet for ages then without warning all hell breaks loose

The only storms here today were on the Northern horizon, several faint rumbles heard in the late afternoon from the North.

Thunderstorm hit Norwich at 3pm, some impressive cumulonimbus cells, but not as intense as Friday's storms.

Heard some thunder from a potent shower that passed over here this morning with localised torrential rain.

About 10 minutes had several bright flashes and loud rumbles of thunder. Took the power out for a second, this was felt about 3 miles away as well!! Looks like the rain may now be starting.

Sun out one minute, heavy hail shower the next (London city centre)

In the sun if feels 10c in the showers 5c which i guess is what is happening

As soon as that sun comes out at this time of year the temp goes back up

some very dark clouds now by london bridge should hit the tourist at tower hill shortly (maybe hail ?)
