Grimsby took a pasting with 5 inches last night it looked beautiful. Since 2 today its been squally hail and snow showers and blowing snow. Tonight more snow is coming in and its very icy - main roads are white over and very slippy.Very windy too. Quite a day 117 schools closed in Lincs !

1 inch overnight last night and 4 inches this afternoon in a 3 hour spell between 2.30-5.30pm. Took some good pictures on the digital camera which I hope to post (I took the day off - just as well, took a collegue 2hrs to drive from Bedford to Rushden, which should only take 30 minutes). Lots of snowmen have popped up, I think the kids must have got sent home early.
