Day 3 was a travelling day to position ourselves for tomorrow's (Thursday's) SLIGHT risk over SErn KS/NErn OK. At Pratt, KS atm, on the way here from Woodward we stopped off at Greensburg to take some photos of the town and what's left of it, will update with photos later!

Ok, just got back from a nice meal at Chilis, here's a few photos to start off from today's journey from Woodward to Witchita, with a stop at Greensburg. More pics will follow from the others:

As Nick Says, the car fell silent as we entered Greensburg and the reality of the EF5 Hit home with people that have never seen this type of damage before, have this on Video as well. Some more pictures of today.

Its still difficult to find the right words. To think that we watched the cell develop and watched the forecaster on TV give his super commentary and warnings.. That guy deserves a medal. He certainly saved a lot of lives that night..

Pt1..

Pt2..

Pt3..

This is also a good explanation of how Doppler radar works..

I still find the devastation that EF5 caused shocking even after a year of it happening. As Potty says the guy should get a medal for his warnings.

Hopefully if you guys manage to see anything near that size it will be in open country.

A year on and still rubble lies on the plots where buildings once stood..

looks kinda surreal with the new pole-lines erected and the new water

tower (resembles a radar)..

Well i know where i'd be running to if i was caught up in an EF5

straight to the towns bank.!!!

A big howdy to all of the team on the chase over there!

Great pics so far and very sobering ones above from Greensburg:KS. The power of nature in full swing is something to be admired and respected as always.

All the best and good hunting!

Yeah those photos are really shocking, all the damage even a year on is quite horrific. Also these videos are really amazing to watch, certainly sobering to see that coverage with the tornado.

Thanks for the pictures, videos and updates lads, very interesting, but as kold says, shocking to see the damage a year on in Greensburg.

Glad to see you all having laugh in the car on the way to Kansas while waiting for those big storms to come, stay safe.

Unbelievable when looking at those pictures and videos, but sadly it happened. Really makes me stop and think, let alone you guys who were actually there - albeit a year on. No-one will ever have the power to stop Mother Nature dong whatever she wants.
