Just had a thunderstorm lasting about 15 minutes with a few flashes of lightening and torrential rain :D . Hopefully it'll clear the air abit as its been really muggy the last few days.

Had a weird thunderstorm about 30 minutes ago here in Norbreck (Blackpool). To the west bright sunshine and sun out here, to the East towards the pennines, a large thunderhead, plenty of loud thunder but didn't see any lightening due to sunshine. It seemed to be heading in a north westish direction so maybe this is the one that passed over you.

Had a tremendous thunderstorm at about 2.30pm - had to drive from Langsett South Yorkshire to Castleford in West Yorkshire and it was almost monsoon like all the way - brilliant lightning display as well.

Storm here today: first thunder heard 17:00 last at 17:35 to the north. Main storm (there were two) passed from the SW to the NE of this location, we clipped the edge. Great views of the cell as it moved away northward later. A smaller cell, also electrified, ran parallel to the first one from due South of here to NE, over the city of Hull and on towards the coast. Heard frequent thunder and saw lightning from both cells at the same time.
