The morning saw bright periods and a little unexpected sunshine for a time during the afternoon before thicker cloud eventually moved in to the area around 15:30 GMT producing a few spots of rain. Fairly breezy throughout, maximum gust 28mph SE. Maximum temperature 20.3c.

A dry but fairly cloudy morning was followed by about 3 hours of bright warm sunshine and then we had some showers giving 4mm of rain which flooded the already saturated ground. During the sunny spell the shade temperature reached 19.4c with humidity at 51%.
