A very mild and beautiful day, dominated by altocumuls lenticularis. Saw dozens today, here in Weston-super-Mare. Late in the afternoon I noted what I thought may be a hole punch, but I'm very new to this, so not confident with this assessment. Anyone care to help me out?

The 2nd picture is beautiful, the sort of sky I could look at every day!

To be honest Andy, I couldn't stop myself from looking too! There was so much going on yesterday. Lenticulars everywhere, with these weird looking features that look like hole punches, although I'm not sure they were.

A couple of months ago I was lucky enough to see a beautiful Kelvin Helmholtz wave and tried to snap, from a moving car (shh...) with my really awful mobile phone camera. But the pics were rubbish. So now I'm taking a better camera out when I remember. Wish I had my Canon, but my ex wife kept that... Nothing at all to snap today - couldn't have asked for a more perfect clear sky.
