Quite a thaw overnight of the lying snow for the Highlands of Scotland although, it is looking as if this will be readily replaced over the weekend and into next week.

Here in Northants grey and overcast with a temp of 4.9c and a slight westerly breeze

There was a frost yesterday evening and the temperature dipped to -1c, however by dawn it had clouded over and the temperature had risen to 4c.

Today has been mostly dull/misty and milder/calm although there has been some hazy sunshine since midday - the sun is shining as I type because of some good breaks in the cloud in this area. Currently 11c.
