Comon guys help me out will i get any efects from the streamer?

Depends on the wind direction. It needs a bit more of a NE element to it to give us a pasting

Sun's out now :(

Why do i fear that i will be too far north and too far south! Does a Thames streamer affect the home counties?? Bright here at mo, no sign of snow

With the convection now kicking off the showers will become more widespread than we are currently seeing and a ta a guess a tad heavier this afternoon, real fun this afternoon and tonight !

Light flurries for 10 mins or so getting more moderate now with clouds darkening. Nothing settling yet - not expecting that until later.

Question, I am following the NWE radar and there are overlays of I assume wind directions at different heights, which one are the cluds following currently? (500,700,850 and 100 hpa)

There's dark clouds to the south of me here, according to the radar I'm about a mile too far north of it! Very annoying!

1.7c and I've no doubt that it's snow over there.

Thankyou Maidstone Weather and Neilsouth for that i will keep a check on it.

Another question how certain is it that the snow will turn to rain for us down here is it poss for the mild air to be mixed out if the showers are heavy enough?

No snow here yet

TBH Dont really no what is happening to the radar at the moment, the Precip moved ominously into the Estuary as if it would march up to London and onto Kent, but now seems to have almost double backed and moved more towards the Dover area, never seen that happen before, I am flummoxed, run the 1030 radar and then run the 11am radar, it looks very wierd ??

Thanks.

I really couldn't see why the BBC were mentioning wintry flurries for this afternoon on their Friday forecasts given the forecast models.

I'm with you all the way on that, the Beeb seem to be about 12 hours behind in saying when snow will fall. This morning, when we were having the first of our showers, the forecaster on BBC News Channel was saying "No Snow till late in the day". Radar was showing showers!!
