Clear intervals last night. Dull today and colder than of late. Periods of rain 0900-1700, these were heavy to very heavy 1430 to 1700. Strong and gusty SSW winds this afternoon. Calmed down a lot this evening, clear intervals, a brief hail shower 2100.

Snowing quite heavily for the last hour on the outskirts of Glasgow. The snow is quite wet but is now lying on the wet ground. I dont expect it is going to come to much.
