post-2744-1238262216_thumb.jpgpost-2744-1238262245_thumb.jpgpost-2744-1238262276_thumb.jpgA few pictures of possibly ??? the last soft hail /grauple/ snow shower of 2008/2009 winter coming in off the Firth about 90 mins ago starting with it crossing the coastline then making its way inland to us where it gave a few snowflakes but mostly soft hail which the camera does not show too well and then progressing further inland to the south of us and onwards to the Cairngorm Mountains.

Mean"t to say it is currently 1c almost no wind and a few light wintry showers to the NE, exepcting an air frost this evening if it clears.

currently 2c and dropping and dropping like a stone soon theyre be a frost its starting to cloud up and if it does maybe well get some snow!

Snow settling at 6pm on Surrey (Redhill/Reigate) stretch of the M25, very heavy wet snow almost sleet but enough to turn the carriageway icy and verges white??

We have a covering of snow here in Shetland and its still snowing. Temp is currently -1.3C, dewpoint -3.5C :D

We had fine grainy snow today which didnt lie.

Temps dropping fast now. Just above 0C and looks like being a frosty night. Roll on spring! :D

PS......Nice pics Northern. I watched similar clouds roll in and its quite spectacular.

about 1c and is starting to get very dark to the west and the temperature is plummeting so maybe itll be below zero before the precipitation gets here can anyone confirm this? its now o.5c

Sunshine and showers this morning in Exeter- some impressive cumulonimbus cells about, and plenty of sunshine in between the showers. The afternoon stayed dry with sunny spells.

Now down to -3c and grass sparkling under a clear sky, at least the mud is freezing and hopefully when it thaws we will get back on the fields in some nice spring weather next week although March and April can be like this with big swings in temperature from winter to spring conditions.

Rather far away, although high thin layers could remain in place overnight. Towards dawn, cloud should begin to spill in from the Atlantic seaboard with drizzle encroaching from the west in places into tomorrow, coupled with a rise in temps.
