started cloudy but dry but the Peak District drizzle has reached here, surfaces now quite wet so just as well we decided against golf.

Rain set in yesterday teatime and non-stop since, though mostly light in nature. An endless stream of cloud and moisture from North Wales, across the plain into the Peaks. Hate this type of weather, makes me want to get back on a plane.

After a clear and quite cool night with a touch of ground frost, cloud moved in to the area before dawn to produce a little light rain through the morning. At observation, overcast with light rain, feeling cool. The cool and cloudy conditions with the odd spot of rain continued throughout the day, breezy too, top wind speed 25mph from the west. The night saw more prolonged and moderate rain. Top temperature during to 18:00hrs. 12.1c. The maximum of 12.7 was reached at the end of the 24:00 period.

Sun slowly coming out, although that might just be the breeze blowing the cloud across and we are into a small gap before more cloud appears.

Not bad when there is no breeze, 17.5c (although not sure if that's too accurate!) , but if you catch a gust it makes it feel a lot more chilled.

Quite a warm, windy, cloudy day with some hazy sunshine at times. The current temperature is 15.6c although it has been up to 16.3c half an hour ago, humidity is 65%.
