I've come back to Cleadon for the bank holiday, and surprisingly yesterday was very warm and sunny (22C) and today looks like continuing in a similar vein, though slightly cooler due to a sea breeze. Some high cloud, mainly to the south, and some interest in the convective outlook for tonight. Temperature 17.6C at the moment, after a fairly cool night (6.8C).

Sun has popped out, still mostly cloudy tho, the sun has pushed the temps up to 21.1c (far short of the 28c the BBC had yesterday!) although this is probably the calm before the rain and thunder showers start rolling in.

Overcast and muggy today(18C) but a great yesterday in more ways than one, it was clear blue skies, a high of 21C, england won the IRB Rugby Sevens at twickenham in an excellent final against new zealand and newcastle went down

Gone cloudy again and the temp is dropping.

I had such high hopes for today, but alas not to be.

Temps dropped nearly 2c in the last hour, cloud has built and humidity is rising. Reached 23.9c so got to the 24 the BBC said today but not the heights predicted as yesterday. Looking at the radar we could be in for some rain within the hour.

Max temp this afternoon was 18.3c after this morning peak now cooler at 16c with a west/NW wind bringing clearer air in already.

3 layers of cloud now, not including a reasonble size cumulus which developed as the wind turned to the east,a few spots of rain aswell before.

After a warm,sunny morning, it's gone downhill this afternoon with a blanket of cloud.

The max temp was 21c and it's now down to 16c

Started cloudy with a light shower this morning, but cleared up around lunchtime to leave a sunny, warm and rather humid afternoon. It's clouded over again in the last hour or so. Currently 21.6, maximum 24.2.

Rain has been flirting with us since about 1pm with only the odd spot on & off all afternoon. It began getting a little heavier (as in drizzle) an hour or so ago as the rain band intensifies. Looking at radar it looks like the rain is being created here in the midlands to send north!
