A BIG! cb cluster crossed over the Netherlands last night and early morning.

Enjoy.

The crosses are lightning stokes.

Fantastic photos. Thankyou. My, how the internet makes the world look so small - I only wish we looked after it better!

Absolutely stunning storm shots mate, well done. But what a shame about all that damage, there must have been some high winds and big big hail to cause that! :)

5cm hail..!! thats just larger than the standard golfball no wonder all that damage occurred, looks like the wind damage was caused by severe gusts with estimated speeds of 29m/s (60+ mph) sadly one death and one injury was reported when their small private aircraft crashed presumably caused by the severe weather.

Great shots of the lightning there Jurgen..

The fastest windgust in Amersfoort was about 118 km/h. and over 75.000 lightning strokes in 24h.

This was my second heaviest storm I experinced (my worst was thyphoon Vamei in Singapore).
