a look at both temperatures and dewpoints north to south across the country shows the situation quite well

T=8 or 9C in the far north and 18-19C for parts of England as far north as Mersyside

Dewpoints range from 2C in the far north to 12C in the south.

Overall there has been a drop of at least 7-8C in temperatures, for some nearer 10C. So one can imagine the excitement on this forum in mid winter, temperatures from 8-12C dropping by 8-12C.

Not much ppn so that would temper the excitement I suppose. However, that is set to change over the weekend.

Temps dropping further here in the last few mins as colder 850mb air begins to move slowly south.

Looks notably cold on Friday for Northern England.

Max's dropped 9.5C yesterday, another 3.2C today and Friday could 2/3C colder still.

A warm feeling early evening with some sunshine - the wind has dropped and it feels quite a nice evening.

17.5c the max which is where it is right now.

Very dry out there now - getting dusted up eyes everytime I ride now. Some rain to damp things down would be good.

Clear intervals last night and a milder one than of late.

The much anticipated 'fresher and much cooler and cloudier' weather blatently failed to make its mark over here!

Hazy sunny spells to early afternoon, then lovely and sunny. It would appear my location was the warmest in the UK today.
