had realy heavy snowfall in Stanley Durham today, two blizzards lasting for about 30mins each, expecting more early tommorrow morning.

As previously mentioned before to see the snow in Co. Durham check out the webcam below:

http://www.derwentside.org.uk/webcams/webcam5.htm

this webca is live streaming if you have broadband. you should of seen the traffic before on it, When it was blizzarding i looked and saw the x30 bus from newcastle, checked again about half an hour later and it was still there (same bus as the same landrover wa sinfront of it).

In Derby today in between 0100 and 0500 there was snow around, very heavy at times, this gave around a inch but more in some spots. most of it melted before midday in the sun but still snow in shaded areas.

Some snow showes to the north of Derby look good

Moderate snow for half an hour now, settling nicely onto rest of last nights 2 inchs and the huge amount of bare ground where the snow melted.

Is much heavier than radar suggests :p
