Temp just bottomed out at -0.6°C, so first air frost this season. A nice clear, frosty start to the day, my favourite type of autumn weather!

Cloud did eventually clear at about 11pm to leave clear skies and a thin frost. A low of 2.8c which was the lowest this season. A low maximum looking likely today. Currently 3.0c and misty. Has anyone noticed its snowing in marham south east england?

First scraping of the car windscreen this season (2 DgC first thing), patchy fog in places now clearing as the sun rises.

Had a strange area of isolated fog yesterday afternoon in a clump of trees on the downs overlooking Eastbourne. A patch of no more then 0.5 km square and small, football sized 'lumps' of it being blown across my path at knee level. They looked so dense that I thought I could pick them up!

Becoming clear and cold with ground frost before midnight.
