Currently mostly clear with a temperature of 1.9C. There was a heavy sleet shower earlier which was a suprise, but all it served to do was wet the ground and make it dangerous tomorrow should it freeze.

If anyone from the Metoffice reads this thread, I suggest you may want to have a special alert or warning for dangerous icy conditions on roads in large parts of the UK this morning. Black ice conditions seem quite likely with the sub-freezing conditions, rising humidity levels, and inversion. Some parts of Ireland had really poor driving conditions yesterday morning for similar reasons.

Didn't quite make it to below 0c last night. I recorded a low of 0.3c, which is what it is at present. Looks like a pretty chilly day ahead, with more cloud in the afternoon.

Well managed to get one air frost in Autumn as the temp dropped below zero last night, over night minimum -4.3C

Yesterday:

After a little rain overnight, the sky cleared around 5am and the temperature fell to 2.9c and –0.9 on the grass, so by observation there was a touch of ground frost. A mainly sunny day followed, though with a couple of light showers in the vicinity. Feeling cold in the wind, maximum temperature 5.8c. Maximum wind gust 18mph, NW. Quickly becoming cold after dark with frost.
