I reckon you should stick up a cheeky wee nw radar shot for us!I would subscribe but I had to cancel my credit cards the other day due to my wallet sliding down the side of the bed and me not being able to find it in the 15 minutes before I left for work.

I drove into Ayr earlier to go to Morrisons for breakfast and felt like a king with my big pile of snow on my car whilst the poor Ayr dwellers only had a little covering.

Haha nice one, I did the same on thursday when i came back from Edinburgh with snow frozen onto the car as I headed into Kilmarnock!

Radar: ( few posts down - didn't want to post 2 within 5mins)

Everything moving SE at the moment, snow should be with us in a few hours.

Yep - I'm hoping it will wait until after dark because temps are above freezing now for the next few hours.

Much more snow about over a wider area than even the current now-casts on the BBC.

Thats a point actually the dewpoint has risen to 0c here with temp of 1c. Should still be ok though...

Lets hope this works out!

It's getting quite dark here now too.. but even if it does get here those Heilans look to be taking a fair bit of intensity out of them..

Currently: Dry

Temp: -0.5 (down from a high of -0.2 @ 11am)

DP: -3

Pressure: 986.5 (lowest of the day)

What a day for Highlands & Islands :)

Perth 0C Dew Point -1.3 looks threatening to the North. Leading edge must only be about 20 miles away.:)

A good few more inches fell here this morning too. Must be around 6 or 7 inches of lying snow now. Must admit though I was expecting a bit more wind, it is almost completely calm.

If we had the wind it would have caused bad drifts.. Maybe the west coast are getting the wind

Temp at -2C still snowing after almost three hours. Difficult to work out how much longer it will continue. Perhaps ease off in an hour or so.

If this all pans out later, I bet this thread has a few spectators from the English regions. Wouldn't it be funny if we all started speaking in our regional dialects.

eg: "Were startin' tae tak' a fair skelp doon bye!" :drinks:

Snow has turned to rain here and the dusting of snow has melted kind of disappointed was expecting a bit more conditions were perfect last night but the showers didn't last long enough. Temps now 4c it might snow again tonight and tommorow but not expecting anything special.
