God knows what's happening on Rain Today's radar data - the most recent update has got rid of the 'mild sector' entirely and it's all back as snow, though very light, and as Ludensian says, it's snizzle here at the mo. Bands of heavier ppn appearing though - a small area south-west of Alford, around Super-Skeggy and a thin but extensive band of heavier snow south-west of Boston. That said, LO reporting sleet, though radar says snow - goes to show the importance of ground-truthing.

I won't be subscribing to the site after the new year then. The precipitaion type was a freebie, normally only open to members!

it's good as a freebie grimsby but not worth paying for it imo.

The snow stopped here in Boston and was rain for about half an hour. Now it is back to snow.

I have found Rain Today Radar to be very accurate through the last five days of the cold spell. I have never used it before. When it suddenly said sleet half an hour or so ago, I thought no way and ran to the window to have it look. Sure enough that was what it was doing.

That band of cloud is finally clearing away now, so the temp is going to start dropping bigtime

It's the same here, as regards the temperature. Now stands at -5.1°c - I can see it beating Saturday night's low of -5.6°c at this rate :drinks:

Its literally 1 mile away according to the latest radar. I keep checking the lamppost outside but can't see anything yet.

Thanks storm force, I'm more than willing to kiss n make out errm I mean up, An apololigy would be great form woldsowl though

OK let's just explain myself. Currently we have numerous posts about the will it, won't it snow. Quite right too as it's a meteorologically interesting day, again.

Earlier I was doing the same, but in this case referring to what were for me, record low temperatures. Then Chassisbot comes along and injects sarcasm into the thread. Why, what's the point?

All I'm attempting to do is inform other forum users what's going on in my location, as many others do on here.

Apologise for dissing my contribution and I'm happy to make up.
