A very bright and chilly start - lovely!

8c here and cloudy. After a southerly gale all night and temporary loss of electrcity due to some violent gusts, the ground is really starting to dry. Fingers crossed for the weekend it may be dry enough to start sowing the spring barley so we have some straw for bedding the cattle next winter. The grain this year is the byproduct.

Bright start, sun is out but the skies are hazy rather than brilliant blue. Southerly breeze, temps are soaring ahead tho, currently 11.4c after an overnight low of 6.6c. Although if this haze don't clear and more cloud starts to bobble up the 17c the BBC are saying some parts of London might get probably won't happen here.

I'd imagine 15-16c mid-afternoon before dropping again.

Yesterday:

Clear skies for a time last allowed the temperature to fall low enough for a ground frost, low 2.2c with –1.9c on the grass. Cloud spread in to the area through the early hours with some light rain setting in around dawn. At observation, rain cleared, bright with hazy sunny spells, windy. The day turned mainly overcast with quite a gusty southerly wind, dry and mild though, top temperature 12.4c.

First time this year it's genuinely pleasant to sit outside for a long period. 16.3c and blowy but feeling warm with the sun.

The weather here is inbetween SteveB's and Turnedoutniceagain's observations with some cloudy skies (although with a tiny bit of hazy sunshine) and a warm feel to the temperatures. Not one raindrop detected.

Rather dull here with bright spells. Its quite warm however and was pleasant enough to go and finally cut the grass with a max temp of 15.1C. There is quite a strong wind though.
