More excellent photos - some of those are awesome and should be made into a storm chasing calender for 2011!

It's just like watching the Discovery Channel on here isn't it?

Like it..............how long before Netweather has it's own TIV

Hi all

Well Mark, Jo and I arrived at Heathrow safely. Jo to be picked up by her boyfriend and Mark and I headed off on the underground. The only snagg that I had was dropping my train ticket between the gate and the train. For a while I thought that I would have to pay again, however I showed the train manager my invoice and he was nice to me. I guess someone else had a free trip on my ticket. I am home now , Mark should be arriving in Newcastle some time around now.

Jo, lucky girl was upgraded to Economy plus , bigger seats and away from us second class people.

I am really please that you all had a good chase first day. I will now be watching each day.

Tom

Incredible! Does it get any better? Sounds like you just about had the perfect day. I feel sorry for the guys who were on their way home. I know how it feels. You'll just have to go back again next year!

We have been having some problems uploading the video to the server so James Menzies has added it to YouTube and here it is finally.

Enjoy.

Look closely into the bottom right of the Image at the Earlier Wall Cloud and tilt your head to your right - Looks like a Dissipating Cone Tornado off to the North East from the earlier Circulation where we saw the Wedge and Cone 2 Miles further back!

Insane!

Sorry guys.. but I'm fairly sure that isn't a tornado in that video - just rising scud.... Can't see no rotation at all there... nope...none at all... The flashing lights aren't power flashes either. That was the local outdoor roller disco which kicked off at 8:30pm They have some pretty powerful strobe lighting.... I can see how you were mistaken though! ;) (This is me being not jealous at all!!!!! :D)

Seriously though.. that is pretty impressive. Couldn't you just have had James ram those trees out of the way with his chase vehicle before filming :( I know the area south of Paul's Valley is pretty crap as far as terrain. If the cell had been 10 miles north, it would have been over open fields! Next time, you should have had a separate camera set up focused entirely on Pat. You'd have needed a wide angle converter just to fit his jaw in it would have dropped so much I'm sure :) ROTAAAAAATIONNNNNN!!!

Off topic, but does anyone know why Vortex2 have posted this up on facebook....

From Wurman: "The vehicles are not CSWR or VORTEX2 vehicles.

As far as I can tell from a quick viewing of the Youtube video, they are the TIV2, the TIV medic and support vehicle(s) which are likely affiliated with Sean Casey, Discovery, and/or its production vehicles, and/or a production company making an IMAX film."

Apparently a video has been uploaded to youtube, anyone seen said video?

Edit: I think they might be trying to distance themselves from TIV and support team dangerous driving yesterday in this video. I might be wrong.

i hope everyone enjoyed the timelapse...will do more in the next few days..

the last 13 days have been AWESOME...you would not believe what I have seen with my eyes....

words and pics dont justify the structure and powqer of these storms..

currently 13 supercells and still counting.. :o

ive lost count of the Tornados :cray:

last night discovered yet more tornados in a dark lightning shot exposure..

I thought last year was A1....but this as been INCREDIBLE...TO SAY THE LEAST...

will start my thread up again when I get back of my journey with the lads..

Im exhausted but its been worth it to get the incredible footage..

the names Pat Timmer

miss everyone who as left :cray:

Those pictures are astonishing- I can't say I've ever seen anything remotely like it, and many of the cloud formations are amazing. Certainly a very successful storm chase that day!
