Just got back from picking my car up near the Wirral and also headed across to Conwy before driving home..I've never seen so much rain  Obscene amounts and still battering it down here on West Wales!

As i said, this thread is not busy and i can leave it for 20 mins and not have to trawl through page after page of posts!

Anyways, despite the promising skies, no thunder/lightning here sadly, oh well, i suppose i had my fun!

The only thing battering here Aaron is insects, lol!! A very still, very humid 26.5C here atm...quite uncomfortable actually - be sure to send some of that heavy stuff this way :good:

Yes wanted to say it looked a bit like an Lp supercell. Seen two similar features today. Obviously far smaller but interesting to look at anyway.

Our only hope (confidence of which lies at 0.1% currently lol) is that the rain heading NE from the Brest Peninsula can tap into some of the instability currently being displayed across southern skies.

MetO suggesting end of July could reep some dividends - mentioning driest and warmest in the SE with heavy and thundery rain around at times...basically suggesting plume setups COULD be on the cards...of course, pretty futile so far ahead, but the signs that a setup could be on the cards is always nice!!

Clutching straws now! Some nice light rain that evaporates as soon as it hits the ground seems the order of the overnight period for the SE.

No sign at all of that happening in the charts atm, apart from the dry bit. R.I.P the long gone Spanish Plume. Maybe we will see you again one day.

Anyone pinning their hopes on breasts offerings might be dissapointed. Looks like it might just be a Kent Slapper from the way it is moving, should just go through the gap between Dover and Calais  :good::wallbash:

Roll on 2011 - 278 days until Thunderstorms every day.......and large hail.........oh and Tornadoes.............
