The strangest thing happened here. We got a Nimbus cloud (which is unusual on thier own) A cumulonimbus cloud preceded this. The nimbus cloud is so rare because it takes the form of cumulonimbus and nimbostratus together and this causes a very unusual tropical/polar air mixing! not only that but it gives great instability and heavy rain. If youre wondering why im saying this its because we got one giving heavy rain quite something

me is started off very sunny, then turn into glorious day, blue skies, unbroken sunshines and warm and lovely summer feels! then suddenlys horrible dark purplygrey/yellowy disgusting clods is come over from north around 7 o clocks and we is got heavy heavy rains till evenings!! then sun come out agains just before sunsets!!! very strange!!!!! :?

Sunny intervals and showers all day here in north Lancashire. Showers seemed to come from stratus and stratocumulus type clouds, unusually for a showery day, and yes, as Stephen Prudence rightly pointed out, there were even some "nimbus" clouds. Very strange!

Very heavy rain/hail showers, absolutley no thunder though, havent had any since March and even then it was only 1 clap.

Just had a heavy hail shower and 3 thunderclaps and sheet lightning! It was strange though the hail was quite soft!!
