Just let the dog out into the back garden and saw a couple. One reasonable the other fainter. It's still a darkening twghlight here so I'll have another look out later on.

Neighbours' insecurity lights are a perishing nuisance though :)

Clear down here in Dorset, the best in years, still lots of moisture in the air, as proven by a plane taking off from the airport with it's lights on showing a full beam path as it flies over.

Still, cant complain, clearest in years.

Seen some short really visible flares and a couple of very long track meteorites.

Sure it will improve as the night goes on, but for me the eyelid fairy is working her spell :)

Lots of people on facebook saying an asteroid will hit us tonight. I've heard it all now.

Cloudy here too.

A friend down the road from me said he just saw one. Just popped outside, but it's still 80% cloudcover. Certainly not worth standing outside for.

No show in birmingham. Too much cloud. I live in the land of no snow, no storms, no heatwaves and now no perseids.

Oh well, maybe the leonids in november might be visible..... (not!!!)

Pity 60 miles south clear skies

The brightest 1,16am , one with longest tail 11.30ish

Seems frequency is slowing down, saw about 35, that will do me

Just looked out my window and saw 2 very bright meteors

I saw two meteors last night, one around 10-45 & and the other around 11.20. Other than that nothing else, & it was fairly clear skies with only about 20-30% cloud cover.

we were very lucky last night, total cloud cover was forcast but the skies cleared and remained clear until around 11:30, we saw about 20 meteors, we even got my son out of bed to watch. There were some very bright ones and ones with tails that took some time to fade, my son even saw some colours in the tails of one or two. Well worthwaiting up for, last few years ahve been disappointing this year redressed that.

M

BTW Jupiter has been looking fantastic over the last few days also, managed to see 5 or 6 moons the other day.

Sat out last night a watched for a few hours with the whole family and our neighbours over a few beers! Saw loads of really bright ones, some with tails stretching halfway accross the sky. It was the most impressive showing I've seen to date. Apart from a few short spells we had almost totally clear skys.
