Virga?

Taken this morning on the school run, over the Eden Valley.

I've edited them to pick out the cloud, but what does anyone reckon?

Yep, altocumulus virga by the looks of things......very striking appearance, nice

I could see them to the west this morning when I was heading to Consett, so probably looking around the same area.

They were very impressive today.

Agreed , looks that way with strands of stratocu. underneath. I particularly liked no. 5 although they are all excellent.
