The max here was 18.1C corrected. This is the 3rd highest in the Doncaster area since 1943, at least as far as I know, RAF Finningley 1943-1995 and Cantley 1997 on.

Only higher values both at Finningley were 18.3C on 4 Nov 1946 and 18.5C also on 4th November 1971. So we now have the 3 highest all on 3 November.

Although it only reached 14.5c today its only 'dropped' to 13.6c this evening, and is now up to 13.9c, so it looks like a second notably mild night. Also, very constant temperatures between 13.0c and 14.5c since yesterday afternoon now.

Just past midnight and it's 14.8 ° C — wow! That would be respectable for summer. T-shirts and shorts for Bonfire night?

T-shirts and shorts for Bonfire night? ha, good one, maybe if its a bonfire thats massive like a small hill, maybe in 2050 they say GW by then would make for warm winters...

i do like this warmth, just amazing to be out in cloud and wind at dusk in a thick jumper and feel warm.
