Sunshine and cumulus clouds in Lancaster, as is often the case around Morecambe Bay, the clouds aren't very well-defined.

However, there are showers approaching the region- in my experience showers can turn up without warning in this area.

really heavy rain in ipswich- for about 20 minutes already. My back garden has about 3cm of rain water collected on the patio and still the rain pours down- ddint expect this.

12c, recent spell of heavy rain, light NW'ly. The rain really was coming down fairly heavily for 40 mins. If that had kept up, it may have caused some flooding.

Still going here in Norwich- has been for hours now. Not extremely heavy, just persistant. Not used to this much rain in the east! Do need it though.

The rain went at around 11 a.m. and after the cloud began to dispurse and 30 mins later bright sunshine and scattered cumuylus clouds. It really is quite a contrat to the misery of earlier on

There arew some interesting cumulonimbus clouds out to the west, I'll be keeping an eye on them!

Currently 15.4c, a nice day with a few cumulus about.

Finally stopped raining, but still very overcast. Temp has peaked at 8C. It don't bother me about lack of sun today anyway- if it was sunny I'd be tempted to go outside and not do my work.. :twisted:

Nice warm start to the day, then temperature dropped and down came the rain about 2pm, and hasn't stopped.

rain stopped at 3.30.quite bright with a lot of small Cumulus clouds around.

The rain has stopped finally, and the sun has got its hat on now. Temperature now risen back up to 10c.

Quite a pleasant day. Sunny, with some scatterred cumulus and the odd isolated cumulonimbus, although the showers generally didn't seem to get going (I suspect that they will from tomorrow onwards though!) Cool wind, but nothing particularly raw.
