Are there any showers over Britain at present? I'm now fed up with the BBC radar as it is stuck on 1600 and running 6 hours as starting at 0400 this morning jumping hours and ending at 1600 :!: That's 12 hours :!:

In such possible shower/storm situs as this a 3 hour old radar is useless :?

I can still see the top of a huge looking cloud far NE of me-here it is sunny with cirrus but feeling a bit fresher than I thought it would. Still 22c and hit 26.5c max this afternoon.

Just sunny here in Lancaster. And warm. No sign of any thunderstorms!

Currently still 19.5c in Essex, Altocumulus clouds spreading in from the south most probably attached to a big shower mid English Channel which is moving North Eastwards at present looking to go through the Strait Of Dover , if this is the case from my position right on the East Coast I may be able to see some distant lightning from the storms.

Sunday afternoon in Wiltshire is very steamy after light showers in the last hour or so. 21c, quite cloudy but bright with some blue patches.

Will any storms come this far west :?:

Quite often in such weather they go the other side of Salisbury Plain.

I know it's not an accurate figure, but I've had 31.8C this afternoon.  It is, though, higher than any day last summer! :D:(

Very warm/hot here in South Wales, clear blue skies, but some cloud bubbling up to the South/South east.

I'm more optimistic now as it's overcast and the radar shows things closer however I feel my previous post about things going East of Salisbury Plain may still prove correct.

Cloudy and humid and warm a couple of showers showing up on the radar and a rather heavy thunderstorm looking towards Derby area is the closest convective activity here
